A toast with Buchanan's to the Latin Billboard Awards

This week during the 2015 Latin Billboard Awards, Miami will become, once again, the capital of the World for Latin music and entertainment. Thanks to Buchanan's invitation, official sponsor of this event, I will have the opportunity to not only enjoy the Billboard Awards ceremony on Thursday, April 30, but all the prior events and activities, including cocktail parties, dinners and a private concert.


Among the nominees are Alejandro Fernández, Carlos Santana, Chayanne (whom I interviewed in Caracas when he started his career as a singer and I started mine as a journalist; Enrique Iglesias with Descemer Bueno and Gente de Zona; Jennifer López, Juan Gabriel, Natalia Jiménez, my beloved Marc Anthony, who last year won 10 awards, this year he has seven nominations; Pitbull, Prince Roy, Ricky Martin, Romeo Santos, and Shakira.

Presenting the awards that recognize the top sellers of the musical industry in Spanish, will be Mexican singer Pedro Fernández and Luis Fonsi, who I fell in love after interviewing him last December.

In celebration of so many good things, I’m sharing this cocktail made with Buchanan's. This will be one of the official drinks of the Latin Billboard Awards.

The Music Knight | Ingredients
1.5 oz of whiskey Buchanan's De Luxe
0.5 oz of Italian vermouth
0.5 oz of sweet vermouth Dolin
0.5 oz of Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao
4 drops of Angostura bitters
Cherries for garnish

Preparation
In a shaker with ice, mix all ingredients and shake vigorously until the shaker condenses, about 30 seconds.

Strain into chilled champagne.

Decorate with cherries.
