Tinto de Verano (Summer Red Wine)

Tinto de verano, literally summer red wine, is a cousin of my beloved sangría. It is very popular in Spain and increasingly in this part of the world. It is prepared by mixing equal parts of red wine with lime soda. It can be served with ice and personally I like it with a slice of orange and a splash of rum. It's perfect for lunch on hot days like the ones we already have in Miami.

2 cups of Sprite or 7-Up Light
1 oz of Ron de Venezuela Santa Teresa Añejo
1 slice of orange cut into 4

In four wine glasses with ice, serve wine, soda and rum.

Stir and garnish with the orange.
