In Search of Happiness: A Sunday in Lauderdale by The Sea

Every once in awhile, I go to Fort Lauderdale in search of happiness. And I usually find it... while riding a bike to Lauderdale by the Sea...
There, you'll see beautiful Adirondack chairs, made of recycled material instead of wood...
Or might get lost in the vast selection of beers from all over the world, they serve at Anglins Beach Café.
And when you order a Stella Artois (my favorite Belgium beer), they serve it in an iced Peroni (my favorite Italian beer) glass...
A nice way to start your lunch is with a classic Floridian dish: smoked fish dip served with pita bread instead of crackers...
Then followed by a shrimp and avocado cocktail served with corn tortilla chips...
It's always fun listening to live reggae while having good food, company and nice ocean view... That's when I think reggae and beach should we prescribed as mood enhancers... Seriously!
A walk through the pier is mandatory. There you can see people trying to catch a pompano...
...and pelicans trying to eat their bait...

At the end, you stop at 4D Gelateria for the best gelatos ever and yes: they serve the same gelatos from my childhood in Margarita Island (they also have shops in South Point and Lincoln Road, in Miami Beach, and in West Palm Beach, but that is a story for another post).
