Rum and Mango Batida
Mango is the king of tropical fruits. Sweet condensed milk is a sweetener I cannot resist. What can be better that mango when it’s mango season in Florida (and Venezuela too) and sweet condensed milk? This Ron de Venezuela and mango batida. Cheers!

Firecracker: An explosion of color and flavor
I found this recipe at Liquor.com. I liked it because it was rum based, the color was so appealing, it’s poured in a Margarita glass and I also liked the name.

Ode to the Onion
After I posted my onion, and onion and more onion majadra… it was obvious that I love onions. Chilean poet Pablo Neruda too. Here is his ode... to the onion... to celebrate today Savoir Faire is turning 2. Please don't cry.

Where have you been all my life? (Rum Raspberry Batida)

Añejo
Here is the deal. Now that I live in Florida and I can buy Ron de Venezuela around the corner, I’m challenging myself. I’m going to create, develop, adapt or simply post 30 recipes with Santa Teresa Añejo during the next 90 days. Why Santa Teresa Añejo? Because I love cocktails and this is the perfect rum to mix tropical cocktails.

Majadra (Lentils with Rice)
I love Middle East food and to celebrate my birthday, last week my friend Ilse took me to lunch to Harvest Delights, a very respectable restaurant specialized in Middle East food, in Doral.
